Final blogger reflection

Click here to read my best Character Post

My Characters post is by the far the best because, in the rubric it says "The student analyzes in detail how complex characters develop over the course of the text, interact with other characters, and advance the plot or develop the theme". In my blog post I described and explained how Jane one of the main characters interacts with the other characters. Also how in the beginning of the book she was a flat character and we knew nothing about her or her family, background of where she was/is from. Then moving on in the book I stated how you began to know more and more about this once mysterious character. Who know developed into a round character instead of flat character that we knew nothing about. I then went on to explain how in my book Jane did not propel the plot but Scarlett did by getting all of the boys and taking them, home with her. When Janie (Jane) didn’t even talk to them. So there for concluding that in my blog post I believe I fully fulfilled all the requirements and it was by far my best blog post by far.

One thing I struggled with doing was blogging every week two posts and four comments. The four comments weren’t that difficult. Posting twice every week was hard though because sometimes my books characters didn’t change or nothing really propelled in the plot or nothing actually changed that much so it was hard to post about my book if nothing changed or if let’s say I already posted to all of the categories so you had to repeat a category but since you posted the last time to that category nothing changed in it. So I found that difficult to post two posts every week. There wasn’t really any way I could overcome this because I still had to post two times a week and comment four times. But I worked through it as much as I could. For the four comments each week I just found a blog that interested me and I could easily relate to and used that so it was easier to comment. Instead of finding a blog that I had no clue what they were talking about or what they were saying. I tending to stick to blog posts that I had read so I could easily comment on them, and I really didn’t have to make it like a job. More of an extra thing that I enjoyed doing once a week. Working through two posts each week was a little harder. I had to think about it a lot before I posted, so the week before I would post and then start thinking then, what I was going to post for the next week. So while I was reading before I had to post the next week I would be looking in the reading for examples or parts that I could relate to one or more the categories. One strength I had with blogging every week was easily connecting to my book and others books, when I commented on other peoples blogs that had the same interests as me it was easy for me to connect with them so that was one strength I had. I guess in the end you could say commenting four times was strength for me and at sometimes a struggle.

Other books by LC & a Recommendation

These are 3 of her other books plus the one i am currently reading . They are all part of a serious exept for the style one.

I looked though the Lauren Conrad Style book and it is mostly about her style and how to dress and be like her. If you are a girl looking for great new fun style and outfits and hair ideads i really recommen this book to you. You will be looking ready to go out or party or anything with this fun fashion book by LC.

Lauren Conrads books

I have looked into other books by lauren conrad and they are all based on the story line the two girls moving to LA and basically their life. The other books are just a continouse going on about how the girls make it and there life story and what happens to them good and bad decsions they make. So i found out that it is a novel with around 3 or 4 books in the serious i dont know if i will read the others because the book is starting to get a little slower and not as exciting and fast past as before.

Analysis

The setting of L.A Candy is in L.A i know this bedcause the title of the book is L.A Candy. Also because the  author Lauren Conrad Says in the following quote "In fact, thats why we moved to L.A. after doing the back packing around the world." (Conrad,4)
I can infer that Janie is sweet and Scarlett is a little rude and maybe inconsiderite. I can infer thsi because of the following quote " who the hell are you !"(conrad,2) she doesnt even know the person and is always cusing and screaming at him/her .

Tone and mood post

The tone of my book L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad is relaxed easy going and just fun ! It's a book that you can just read for pleasure and not oh we'll I guess I have to read for school. It's a fun filled easy going layed back kinda of care free book.
The mood of my book L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad  happy or like relatable if that is a word because these girls are teenagers and I feel like I can relate!so when I read this book I'm happy and feel like I could do anything really.
On page 12 Scarlett uses a playfull and fun tone and says " come on Janie, lets go out and shop around it will be good for you!" She was not very serious but she still was very persuasive and in the end convinced Jane to go with her to shop and put on the town that night.

Reading skills (Redo)

In my book L.A candy the two bestfriends move into there new place, when JAne talks about her friend always brinign home guy friends she tells us tehy can never find their way back to her room and always end up kncking on the wrong door. My question is that when Jane is talking about her best friend she calls her Scarlett. BUt then when the guys yell her name trying to find her they call her Cassandra. So does scarlett give them the wrong name. Is there more than two people leaving in the house, like is there three friends and not two. Or is scarlett maybe a nickname that Jane has called her forever because it says thatt they have been bestfriends for a long time. I know i have had a few friedns that i have been bestfriedns with for a long time, but like them you would never know what the neckname meant because its nothing like their real name and thast how me and my friends are. ALso once i read a book called Aquamarin and they named her and they just kind if made up the girls name because she was a mermaid and she didnt have a name so they called her aquamarine and it didnt reallly have a purposse they just kind of made it up si its like how Jane made up her name Scarlett and her real name isnt scarlett and this grils wasnt aquamarine. Also in this book They move to LA and my aunts bestfriend , Marie moved to LA 2 years ago to start a fashion line and work with fashion just like jane and scarlett moved there for the high end fashion.

Characters

My book so far is incredible i love love love it! One of the main characters Jane is a flat character she has not devolped in any way and we only know half her story we just know she moved to LA. The other character Scarlett has started to change we know about her family and her friends at home nad even her previosu realtionships. We know that she doesnt like to be in love and have long relationships that last. In the begging she was a flat character but now she is turning and devopling into a round character because her bad qualitys are that she cant keep a relationship and she doenst wnat to but she does have good characters. She really cares about jane and what she does nad is very pertective ovre her so she is an amazing friend to ajne or janie as she calls her. Scarlett really interacts with people well and doesnt come off as a negitvie person and is very outgoing. Janie on the other hand is shy and not as outgoing so she cant really talk to people without getting nervous or shy and stop tlaking. Janie does make the plot propel though because she advances in other things like talking to Scarlett about all the boys and scarlettt propels the plot by keep getting boys !
